Wu Yang earned his B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Zhejiang University in 2003–2007, and his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Policy and Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University in 2008–2013. He is now a doctoral supervisor at the College of Environmental and Resource Sciences, Zhejiang University. His research interests focus on sustainability science, including environmental science and policy, ecological economics, and coupled human and natural systems. His works have been published in journals such as Science, PNAS, Ecological Economics, PLoS ONE, and the Journal of Environmental Management. In addition, they have been selected as the Top 25 Hottest Articles in Ecological Economics by Elsevier, “Editors’ Choice” by Science, and “Breaking Story” by NSF's website Science 360.
