Author Biographies

Ariane Le Moing is a Senior Lecturer in North American Civilization, Director of the Institute of Acadian and Quebec Studies (IEAQ), and holder of the Senghor Chair in North American Francophonie. Ariane Le Moing teaches in the Department of English Studies at the Faculty of Letters and Languages ​​at the University of Poitiers. In 2003, she obtained a doctorate in Canadian Civilization at the University of Paris III – Sorbonne-Nouvelle and published her thesis in 2004 entitled Pluralism and Citizenship: The Discourse of the First Generation of Haitian Immigrants in Montreal with Sorbonne-Nouvelle. After having published several articles on the complex dynamics of distancing and adhesion of the Haitian community to the Quebec societal project, articulated in particular around the primacy of the French language, Ariane Le Moing continues her research on cultural diversity management policies and the socioeconomic integration of ethnocultural minorities in Canada and Quebec and has been working for several years on the intercultural training of social workers, in Quebec and France, as well as on the evolution of the intercultural approach in Canada and Europe.
