Aglaia Katsiroumpa is a Registered Nurse in Surgical
Nursing and member of the Clinical Epidemiology Laboratory. She completed her
undergraduate studies in nursing at the Faculty of Nursing of the University of
Peloponnese. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Nursing, National and
Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which she received her Master Degree in
Advanced Clinical Nursing with specialization in Surgical Nursing. She is a PhD
candidate at the Public Health Sector, Faculty of Nursing, National and Kapodistrian
University of Athens. Her research is based on issues concerning the Public
Health, Research Methodology, Surgical Nursing and Evidence Based Nursing. Her
academic work includes 88 papers published in international academic
peer-reviewed journals, with 974 citations and an h-index of 17 and i10-index 26.
Petros Galanis is Assistant Professor of Research Methodology and Evidence Based
Nursing at the Public Health Sector, Faculty of Nursing, National and
Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is director of the Clinical Epidemiology
Laboratory. He studied at the Faculty of Nursing of National and Kapodistrian
University of Athens and received his Master's of Public Health Degree and a
PhD from the same University. His main academic interests include Research
Methodology, Evidence Based Nursing, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics. He has
published over 500 papers in international academic peer-reviewed journals with
more than 7500 citations and an h-index of 47. For the years 2020-2024, he
ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists in his main discipline for
citation impact. This ranking, considered the most prestigious worldwide, is
based on the bibliometric information contained in the Scopus database and
includes more than 180,000 researchers from the more than 8 million scientists
considered to be active worldwide.
