Dr. Giorgio Sodero received his PhD in Medicine and Surgery from Università Campus Bio-Medico in 2018. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Fondazione Policlinico A. Gemelli IRCCS—Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in 2024 and is now a certified Pediatrician. He is also a Researcher at the Unit of Pediatrics, Department of Women’s Health, Children’s Health, and Public Health, Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic (IRCCS). Currently, he serves as a Pediatrician at P.O. Perrino in Brindisi, Italy, and is one of the heads of the Pediatric Endocrinology Service. His research expertise includes growth hormone diagnosis and treatment, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric infectious diseases, and general pediatrics.
Prof. Donato Rigante is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Department of Life Sciences and Public Health at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy. He was born in Bisceglie (BT), Italy, in 1966, where he undertook his higher school education, and then started medical studies in 1986, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Catholic University of Rome in 1991. A strong vocation allowed him to pursue his medical studies thanks to scholarships won every year with continuity for his merits. He was a recipient of numerous honors and awards, mostly related to children’s rare diseases. His professional career started in 1992, and his specialty training in pediatrics was completed at the same university in 1995 (head: prof. G. Segni). Since 2001, he has been an assistant pediatrician at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy. He has contributed to almost 400 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, as well as more than 250 abstracts/scientific communications in a variety of fields related to pediatric rheumatologic disorders. Recent topics of interest are the diagnosis and management of hereditary autoinflammatory syndromes related to childhood.
