PD Dr. habil. Satyanarayana Narra was appointed as a Professor for Material and Energy valorisation of biogenous residues in 2024 at the University of Rostock. His research focus lies in the fields of international waste management, technical environmental protection, the sustainable utilization of raw, residue, and waste materials, the development of product-specific processes and technologies, process optimisation and recycling, and the development, design, and conception of new technologies and demonstrators.

Masoud Shahpasand is an accomplished environmental specialist with a strong academic background and extensive expertise in HSE as well as waste management. He earned his MSc in HSE from the prestigious University of Tehran, where he honed his skills in environmental protection, risk assessment, and sustainable resource management. His passion for environmental sustainability and dedication to addressing global challenges in waste management have driven him to pursue advanced research in the field. Currently, Masoud is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Rostock in Germany, specializing in waste management. His doctoral studies focus on developing innovative and sustainable solutions for managing waste, minimizing environmental impacts, and optimizing recycling processes.
