Author Biographies

Dr. Kamil Adamczyk, MD, PhD, graduated in medicine from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, in 2016 and earned his PhD from the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2021. He is an anesthesiology and intensive care resident at the National Medical Institute of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Warsaw. Dr. Adamczyk has extensive experience as an anesthesiologist in various hospitals and has contributed to clinical trials on respiratory failure and anesthesia. He is the author of numerous publications and a member of the Polish Center for International Aid, participating in WHO-led humanitarian missions, including COVID-19 responses.
Konrad Zuzda, MD, received his Diploma in medicine from the Medical University of Bialystok, Poland, in 2020 and is now pursuing PhD Studies about biomarkers of AKI at the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland, under the supervision of Prof. Jolanta Małyszko. He has worked as an anaesthesiologist in training at the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at the National Institute of Medicine since May 2022. In October 2022, he started service as a Humanitarian and Medical Emergency Team member in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Poland.
Dr. Miłosz Jankowski specializes in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Intensive Care and serves as a Senior Lecturer at the II Department of Internal Diseases at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He is an active member of several scientific societies and a strong advocate for applying Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) in intensive care. His primary research focuses on respiratory failure, severe infections, septic shock, and thromboembolic complications.
Dr. Rafał Świerczyński is a consultant in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the National Medical Institute of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Warsaw, Poland. With extensive experience in both clinical practice and healthcare management, his career includes roles in major hospitals and contributions to emergency medical services in Poland.
Dr. Bartosz Czapski is a neurosurgeon specializing in interventional pain management and neuromodulation. The World Institute of Pain has accredited him as a Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist (CIPS). His practice focuses on minimally invasive techniques, including ultrasound-guided procedures, cryoablation, neuromodulation, and the implantation of intrathecal drug delivery systems and spinal cord stimulators to manage chronic pain and peripheral nerve disorders.
Dr. Kamil Chudziński, MD, is an anesthesiology and intensive care specialist with extensive experience working as an anesthesiologist in adult and pediatric facilities. Beyond general anesthesiology, he has developed obstetric, neurosurgical, and thoracic anesthesia expertise. His scientific interests include pain management, short-acting anesthesia techniques, and procedural sedation. Dr. Chudziński is dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative approaches and actively contributes to the field through research and clinical practice.
Dr. Konstanty Szułdrzyński is an Internal Medicine and Intensive Care specialist, serving as the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the State Medical Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration in Warsaw. With extensive experience in clinical research and academic teaching, he has been actively involved in projects addressing respiratory failure, sepsis, and critical care. Dr. Szułdrzyński is also a former member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Medical Research Agency and a former advisory board member on COVID-19 pandemic management for the Polish Prime Minister's Office.
