Author Biographies

Pablo García Gómez received his MSc in artificial intelligence research from the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (Spain) in 2020. Currently, he is a PhD student at the Universidad de Cantabria (Spain), and the topic of his dissertation is green scheduling under uncertainty. His research interests include the application of artificial intelligence to combinational optimization problems, particularly those that model real-world processes incorporating uncertainty.
Inés González-Rodríguez received her MSc degree in mathematics from Universidad de Oviedo, Spain, in 1999 and a PhD degree in artificial intelligence from the University of Bristol, UK, in 2002. She is currently a reader at the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computing at Universidad de Cantabria, Spain. Previously, she worked as a teaching assistant at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Universidad de Oviedo, Spain. Her research interests include uncertainty theories, soft computing, and metaheuristics with applications in scheduling problems. She is a member of the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence (AEPIA) and the Spanish Society for Computer Science Research (SCIE).
Camino R. Vela received her MSc degree in mathematics from Universidad de Zaragoza, Spain, in 1986 and her PhD degree in Mathematics from the University of Oviedo, in 1990. She is currently a professor at the Department of Computing at Universidad de Oviedo, Spain. She is the leader of the Intelligent Scheduling and Optimization (iScOp) research group and a deputy vice-rector for national, regional, and university funding under the vice-rector for research at Universidad de Oviedo. Her main research focuses on scheduling problems, soft computing, and metaheuristics. She is currently an editorial board member of the journals Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence. She is also a member of the Spanish Association for Artificial Intelligence and the Spanish Society for Computer Science.
