Author Biographies

Dr. Muhammad Farooq Tahir is a Veterinary Microbiologist and an IFBA-certified laboratory biosafety, biosecurity, and bio risk-management professional with over twelve years of experience in disease diagnosis, monitoring, and surveillance. His work centers on One Health capacity development at the human–animal–environment interface. He has led the development, implementation, and evaluation of animal disease and antimicrobial resistance surveillance programs, as well as the capacity strengthening of animal and human health laboratories, resulting in ISO 17025 and 15189 accreditations. Currently, he serves as a One Health Consultant with Integral Global for a One Health project in GCC countries under the Biological Threat Reduction Program of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, USA. This project focuses on preparedness for the prevention, detection, and response to potential outbreaks of selected pathogens.
