Author Biographies

Rodrigo studied Architecture, Art History, and Visual Arts at Drury University in Missouri and Volos, Greece, and earned a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Universidad Iberoamericana. He also completed a Masterclass in Landscape Urbanism at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam. Rodrigo has collaborated with renowned firms such as Shigeru Ban Architects in Japan and Wiel Arets Architects in the Netherlands. As an architect, consultant, and landscaper, Rodrigo has worked in both public and private sectors, including projects with municipalities, state governments, INFONAVIT, and the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ). His projects focus on environmental and social revitalization through sustainable, participatory methodologies that integrate normative, social, environmental, and economic components. A four-time fellow of FONCA and PECDA, Rodrigo has led initiatives promoting urban gardens, green spaces, and public spaces. He has also written extensively for media outlets like La Jornada and Revista Obras. In 2009, Obras Magazine recognized him as one of the "10 Promises" of Mexican Architecture. Rodrigo is the founder and director of EVO-A-LAB and served as Academic Director of the Architecture Program at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro (2011–2016, 2018).
