Chaima Magraoui earned a BS in Renewable Energy from the University of Blida 1, Algeria, in 2015 and is currently a PhD student in Renewable Energy at the same university. Her research focuses on energy management in smart buildings, energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and shading control, utilizing both experimental and simulation approaches. She has co-authored a book chapter in the field of smart buildings and energy saving and has also contributed to several scientific communications.
Soumia Oukaci earned a PhD in Renewable Energy in 2023 from the University of Blida 1 and is currently a Researcher at the National Center for Integrated Studies & Research in Building (CNERIB) within the Building Physics and Environment Division. Her work on energy efficiency and bio-based materials has resulted in several scientific publications, conferences, books, and book chapters. In addition to her research activities, she plays an active role in mentoring students, guiding them in their final-year projects on topics related to energy efficiency and bio-based materials. Committed to developing innovative solutions for high-performance and environmentally friendly buildings, she pursues research and collaborations to address current energy and environmental challenges.
Dr. Amel Limam received a PhD in Material Science in 2017 from Mhamed BOUGUARA University in Boumerdes. A former Researcher specializing in building physics within the Environment Division at the National Center for Integrated Research and Studies in Building (CNERIB), her research focuses on energy efficiency, sustainable building materials, and the optimization of thermal performance in construction. Her topics of interest mainly include energy performance in buildings, thermal rehabilitation, bio-based materials, the valorization of local resources for sustainable construction, and green building certification systems. She actively supervises students working on energy efficiency and renewable energy systems and collaborates with national and international experts in sustainable construction.
