Prof. Tinggui Chen is currently a Deputy Dean, Professor,
and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Economics and Management of Shanghai
Ocean University. He received his B.A. in Accounting at Southwest University,
China, in 1997 and obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at Ehime
University, Japan, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He was a postdoctoral fellow
at Kyushu University in Japan and a senior visiting scholar at the University
of Georgia. Additionally, he is also the Deputy Director of the Strategic
Research Center for Ecological Protection of the Yangtze River Waters of the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Deputy Chairman of the Food Economics
Committee of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Economics, the Director of the
Shanghai Food Society, and an Academic Committee Member of Shanghai Ocean University. His
fields of interest mainly include Resource and Environment Economics, Fishery
Economics, and Food Economics.
