Dr. Héctor Pereiro-Buceta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of
Nursing and Physiotherapy at the University of León, located within the
Faculty of Health Sciences in Ponferrada. He earned his Ph.D. from the
Universidade da Coruña in 2022 with a dissertation entitled “Static and
Dynamic Gait Patterns Obtained on Pressure Platforms as Indicators of
Morphostructural Alterations of the Lower Limbs.” His research primarily
focuses on biomechanics, gait analysis, and postural control. Dr.
Pereiro-Buceta advances the understanding of lower limb pathomechanics
and contributes to refined therapeutic approaches in podiatry and
rehabilitation sciences. In addition to his research, Dr. Pereiro-Buceta
demonstrates a strong commitment to innovative pedagogy and student
development. He designs and delivers undergraduate and postgraduate
courses that blend theoretical knowledge with practical applications in
biomechanics and podiatry. As a member of both the Spanish Association
of Podiatric Surgery and the Spanish Association of School and
University Health Medicine, he plays a vital role in promoting
advancements in podiatric practice and healthcare education.
