Dr. Simone Zaggia is a senior researcher at the Osservatorio Astronomico di Padova, INAF. He completed his Ph.D. studies in astronomy at the Università di Padova in 1995 and worked in Naples, Munich, and Trieste before joining the Padova Observatory in 2005. He has published more than 200 papers in various journals and has served as the vice director at INAF Padova. His scientific interests include first stars, globular clusters, dwarf galaxies, and the Milky Way. Recently, he has started to be interested in space debris monitoring and surveillance.
