Sofiane Zaidi is a Senior Lecturer (Class A) in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at the University of Oum El Bouaghi, Algeria, and a researcher in the Research Laboratory on Computer Science’s Complex Systems (RELA(CS)²) at the same university. He received his Engineering degree in 2008, his M.Sc. degree in 2014, his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2018, and his HDR in Computer Science in 2021. From October 2016 to October 2017, he was a visiting student at the LISSI Laboratory, University of Paris-Est Créteil, France. His main research interests include the Internet of Flying Things, flying ad hoc networks, and vehicular ad hoc networks. He serves as a reviewer for many international journals and as a TPC member for numerous international conferences.

Carlos Tavares Calafate is a full professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Valencia (UPV) in Spain. He graduated with honors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Oporto (Portugal) in 2001. He received his Cum Laude Ph.D. in Informatics from the Technical University of Valencia in 2006, where he has worked since 2002. His research interests include ad hoc and vehicular networks, UAVs, smart cities and the IoT, QoS, network protocols, video streaming, and network security. To date, he has published more than 500 articles, several of which have appeared in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks, and IEEE Communications Magazine. He is an associate editor for several international journals from publishers including Elsevier, Hindawi, MDPI, IET, and SAGE, and he serves as Section Editor-in-Chief for MDPI Drones. He has participated in the TPC of more than 250 international conferences. He is ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists and the top 100 Spanish researchers in the Computer Science and Electronics field. He is a founding member of the IEEE SIG on Big Data with Computational Intelligence and the IEEE SIG on the Green Internet of Vehicles. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
