Author Biographies

Maracanaú Campus is a graduate in Chemistry Teaching from the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), with research experience at the Analytical Chemistry and Basic Microbiology Laboratory (LAQAMB). They are a recipient of a scholarship under the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID), have participated in the Science Without Borders Program, and completed an Intensive English for Academic Purposes program at ELS Language Centers, Brockport University, NY, USA (2013–2014). During this exchange, they conducted research in organic chemistry under Prof. Dr. Margaret Logan, exploring the antioxidant properties of tellurium tetrachloride. They served as a teaching assistant for General Chemistry I during the 2016.1 semester and completed their undergraduate thesis on water reuse from air-conditioning systems, defended in February 2017. They earned a Master’s in Renewable Energies (PPGER, 2017–2019), focusing on bio-jet fuel production from oilseeds, with a dissertation defended in June 2019. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará, they research metallic corrosion and develop novel ionic liquid-based inhibitors. They are also a postgraduate fellow of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering and Science Training Program (PRH-31.1/ANP/FINEP).
