Eugene Ng is a consultant neonatologist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has completed a 10-year term as chief of newborn and developmental pediatrics at Sunnybrook from 2013 to 2023. He has a variety of academic interests, including neonatal respiratory physiology, models of care, systematic reviews, standardization, and quality improvement. He has been actively involved with the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) since 2013. He is a past president of the neonatal–perinatal medicine section and is currently a member of the CPS Board of Directors. He had served as a member of the fetus and newborn committee and has authored a number of position statements for the CPS, including statements on vitamin K prophylaxis, surfactant replacement therapy, neonatal brachial plexus palsy, and the management of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.
