Valeriu Savu was born in Bucharest, on 1959. He completed high school studies in the field of electronics, Bucharest, Romania, Diploma Electronics Technician, then attended university studies at National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest / Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Diploma – Electronics Engineer, then pursued doctoral studies at Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology - Doctoral Diploma. From 2005 to the present, he works at the National Research and Development Institute for Optoelectronics INOE2000 as Scientific Researcher grade III, between 2000-2005, he worked at S.C. Elettra Communications S.A. He published the book "Cherenkov cone detection in saline environment", sole author, 2019, Tehnopress. He is the author of 3 books, over 45 articles and over 5 granted patents and 22 patent applications. He did research in the field of electronic blocks for controlling lasers with application in medicine and now he is researching high power sources with applicability in the field of renewable energies, electrical autovehicle, holds patents with applications in electronics: "System for monitoring and regulating the power dissipated on the final stage of a high-power amplifier in audio frequency”, “System for monitoring and regulating the power dissipated by the series control element of a high-power source”.
Madalin Ion RUSU was born in Curtea de Arges City, Romania, in
1979. He received his MSc and the PhD degrees in Physics Engineering from the
University of Bucharest, Romania in 2006 and 2011, respectively. He continued
his training during two postdoctoral internships. The first from 2011
to 2013, as a project director at the National Research and
Development Institute for Optoelectronics - INOE 2000, and the second from 2015 to 2016 in as a research scientist at PIIM laboratory Aix-Marseille
Université, Marseille, France: Fundamental research in the field of plasma wall
interactions. Material analysis. Currently it is Research Scientist 2rd
degree, department for Constructive and Technological Engineering - lasers and
fiber optics communications – ITC. Since 2021 Leader / (Quality Officer) of the
Laboratory "Infrastructure for characterization and diagnosis by optical
and complementary methods - INDICO from - INOE 2000 where he has been employed since 2004.
He is the author of three books, more than 60 articles, more than 20 inventions
and holds 9 patents. His research interests include, solar cells deposited on
flexible support with applications in renewable energy, micro and nano systems
for medical diagnosis, Raman spectroscopy applied to various areas,
laser-matter interaction, ellipsometry characterizations, complex inorganic and
organic materials, medical equipment with lasers and fiber optics devices for
industrial applications, medicine and environmental diagnosis.
Dan Savastru was born 1956 in Iasi, Romania. He was
graduated from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest - Manufacturing Engineering
Dept. in 1981. His Ph.D. was achieved from University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest
in 2013 in Optics, Lasers, Technological Machine Engineering. From 1996 Dan
Savastru activates at the National Institute of R&D for Optoelectronics
INOE 2000 in rank of senior researcher and Head of ITC Department.
He is specialized in photonics and
optoelectronics. He is author/co-author of over 300 peer-reviewed publications,
260 in ISI database, 20 H-index, and a total of 30 patents. Also, he is member
of several Scientific Committees and General Secretary of the CERES National
Research Programme. As project coordinator he proved his project management
capacity coordinating several projects in the frame of Horizon 2020, MANUNET
and FP7 programs and national contracts.
Dragos Manea was born in Giurgiu, Romania. He received the
BSc and MSc degrees in Physics Engineering from the Faculty of Physics,
University of Bucharest, 2011 and 2015 respectively.
He is
currently a Research Scientist, in Optoelectronic Methods with Biomedical
Applications department from National Research and Development Institute for
Optoelectronics - INOE 2000 where he has been employed since 2011.
He is specialized in MATLAB programing and
Visual Studio software development for hyperspectral image analysis and also in
use of various simulation software’s. Optoelectronic Methods with Biomedical
