Yingchun Zhang graduated from the Department of Materials
Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University with a Ph.D. in Engineering in 2004.
From March to September 2014, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of
Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University (USA). He is
currently a doctoral supervisor and professor at the School of Materials
Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing. His
research areas include information-functional ceramic materials, new film and
coating preparation technologies, photocuring 3D printing technology for ceramic
materials, laser transparent ceramic preparation technology, key materials for
space solar power stations, and lithium titanate electrode materials for
lithium-ion batteries. In 2007, he was selected into the New Century Excellent
Talent Training Program of the Ministry of Education, won the title of
Outstanding Teacher of Heilongjiang Province, and won the Second Prize of
Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Land and Resources (fourth).
