Huynh Minh Tuan completed his MSc at the University of Arkansas, USA, and his PhD at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has published more than 30 papers in domestic and international journals and has been serving as a lecturer in medical microbiology and infection control for over 20 years.
Currently, with the Vietnam National Advisory Committee, Vice-President elected, Ho Chi Minh City Infection
Control Society (HICS), Vice-President elected, Viet Nam Infection Control Society (VNICS), Deputy Head of
Department of Microbiology–Parasitology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, Head
of Infection Control Department and Microbiology Department, University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City,
Viet Nam, his work is concentrated on developing and implementing IPC guidelines/practices (eg., HAI
surveillance/prevention bundle, MDROs surveillance, environmental hygiene). His research focuses on HAIs, MDROs, and, especially, MRSA, CRE, CRAB, CRPsA, and hospital environment contamination.
