Sarthak Sinha is an MD-PhD Candidate and Vanier Scholar in the Leaders in Medicine program at the University of Calgary. His basic science research leverages single-cell genomics to explore mechanisms of tissue scarring and regeneration, with findings published in high-impact journals such as Cell, Nature, and Nature Medicine. His clinical research focuses on improving scar quantification, advancing scar treatments, and synthesizing evidence for burn care, with publications in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Burns, and Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. Additionally, his work has been featured in The Globe and Mail, The Scientist, and widely viewed TED-Ed lessons on wounds, scarring, and hair loss.
