Author Biographies

Sara Lariza Rivera-Gasperín is currently a Strategic Projects Technician at the Institute of Ecology A. C., Xalapa, Mexico. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Biology (2008) from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, an M.Sc. degree (2012), and a Ph.D. in Sciences (2017) with a specialty in Systematics and Biodiversity from the Institute of Ecology. She completed her Post-doctorate (2018) at the Institute of Biology, National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has held positions as an interim researcher and project technician. Her research interests include Taxonomy, Ecology, Biodiversity, Systematics, and Entomology.
Fernando Escobar Hernández is currently a full-time Head Technician (Técnico Titular A) at the Instituto de Ecología A. C., Xalapa, Mexico. He obtained his B.Sc. in Biology (2011) from the Universidad Veracruzana. His work experience includes positions as an Associated Technician (levels B and C) and a level A Head Technician. His research interests focus on the Taxonomy and Diversity of Scarabaeidae dung beetles.
