Author Biographies

Dr. Wanshun Zhang received a BS, an MS, and a PhD from the University of Science and Technology Liaoning in 2013, 2016, and 2022, respectively. From 2019 to 2021, he worked for the Haicheng National Magnesite Industry Base. He joined the University of Science and Technology Liaoning in 2016 and is currently a lecturer. He won first prize in technological invention from the China Magnesium Industry Association. His research interests include light metal microstructure characterization, light metal plastic deformation and recrystallization research, and machine learning.

Dr. Hailin Yang received a BS from Hefei University of Technology in 2003 and a PhD from Central South University in 2011. He worked as a research fellow at the Brunel Centre for Advanced Solidification Technology (BCAST) at Brunel University London from 2013 to 2015. He joined the State Key Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy at Central South University (CSU) in 2010. Currently, he is a professor at CSU. He is a reviewer for journals such as Scripta Materilia, Corrosion Science, Materials Science and Engineering A, etc. His research interests include (a) the development of high-strength plastic aluminum alloys in terms of 3D printing; (b) the development of ultra-strong strength powder metallurgy (P/M)-based high entropy alloy (HEA) in terms of defect engineering; (c) refractory metal-based biomaterials and (d) cemented carbides and cermets with high performance.
Dr. Hongyan Zhao received a BS and an MS from the University of Science and Technology Liaoning in 1993 and 1996, respectively, and a PhD from Saitama Institute of Technology in 2003. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Advanced Science Research Laboratory of the Saitama Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005. He was selected as a leading talent in Anshan City in 2017. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Science and Technology Liaoning. His research interests include material forming structure performance control, computer simulation, metal material development and application, and steel production process control and intelligence.
