Dr. Emmanuel Fokides is an
Associate Professor at the Department of Primary Education, University of the
Aegean, Greece. His courses focus on the educational uses of emerging
technologies, virtual reality, digital storytelling, augmented reality, and
serious games. Since 1994, he has been involved in several research projects
regarding distance and lifelong learning and the educational uses of virtual
and augmented reality. He is also the founder of the Emerging Technologies in
Education initiative (ETiE). His work is published in several conference
proceedings, chapters in edited books, and journals. He is also the co-author
of three books.
Dionysia Klaoudatou holds a
bachelor's degree in preschool education and a master's degree in educational
technologies. She pays particular interest in related to tablets and augmented
reality and their pedagogical potential, advocating that they could transform
the experience of teaching and learning of very young students. She is
currently employed as a kindergarten teacher.
