Wei Wei is a Professor and Researcher at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences (RCEES), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China. He received a B.Sc. in Agriculture (2001) and an M.Sc. (2004) from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University and a Ph.D. from RCEES/CAS in 2007. His research interests include landscape management and ecological conservation, disturbance ecohydrology, dryland ecological restoration and soil conservation, and terraced landscape services.
Liding Chen is a Professor and the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Urban and Regional Ecology, at the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (RCEES-CAS), Beijing, China. He received a B.Sc. in Geomorphology and Quaternary Geography (1985) from Peking University, an M.Sc. in Cartography (1988) from the Institute of Geography of Chinese Academy of Science, an M.Sc. in Applied Momorphology and Engineering Geology (1997) from International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences (The Netherlands), and a Ph.D. in Landscape Ecology (2002) from CAS. His research interests cover landscape patterns and ecological processes, land use/land cover change and its environmental effects, landscape planning, and spatial modeling.
