Dr. Ma. Janice J. Gumasing is an Associate professor at De La Salle University. She completed and received her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering (IE), as well as a Master of Engineering and a Ph.D. in IE, from Mapúa University. She is a Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE) with over 15 years of experience. She is also a professional consultant for Kaizen Management Systems, Inc. She specializes in Ergonomics and Human Factors and has numerous international research publications in this field. She received the Young Researcher Award and the Woman in Industry and Academia Award at the International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) in 2020 and 2019, respectively.
