Dr. Tilman Schubert has been a Senior Physician at the Department of Neuroradiology, Clinical Neuroscience Center, University Hospital Zürich since 2019. Before that, he was a Senior Physician in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at the University Hospital Basel (2017–2019), a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Radiology, Department of Medical Physics, University of Wisconsin Madison (2015–2017), a Fellow and Deputy, Senior Physician in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at the Basel University Hospital (2012–2013), an Assistant Physician at the Clinic for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Basel University Hospital (2008–2012), an Assistant Physician at the Department of Stereotactic Neurosurgery, Freiburg im Breisgau University Hospital (2006–2008), and an Assistant Physician at the Department of Neurology, Innsbruck University Hospital (2005–2006). He is a member of the Swiss Society of Radiology (SGR), the Swiss Society for Interventional Radiology (SSCVIR), and the European Society for Interventional Radiology (CIRSE). His research priorities are neurovascular MRI techniques and the antithrombotic prevention of neurovascular interventions.
Dr. Zsolt Kulcsar works at the University Hospital of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, and is the Head and Director of the Department of Neuroradiology. He had been trained in Neuroradiology at the National Institute of Neurosurgery, Budapest, Hungary, with Prof. Istvan Szikora, and later on in Geneva, at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland, with Prof. Rufenacht. He has a Ph.D. in Clinical Neurosciences and a habilitation degree in Radiology. He has a major scientific interest in neurovascular diseases, specifically aneurysms, ischemic stroke, and vascular malformations of the brain. He is involved in clinical and experimental research related to cerebrovascular diseases. His clinical interest relates to the imaging and therapy of complex neurovascular diseases.
Luca Regli studied Medicine at the University of Lausanne, where he trained with Nicolas de Tribolet and obtained board certification in Neurosurgery. At the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, USA, he specialized in the microsurgical treatment of complex intracranial lesions. In 2008, he became a Full Professor and the Chairman of Neurosurgery at the University Medical Center of Utrecht, the Netherlands. In 2012, the University of Zurich nominated
him as a Full Professor, and the University Hospital Zurich invited him to chair the Department of Neurosurgery, which is a renowned international reference center for cerebrovascular diseases, neuro-oncology, and functional neurosurgery. Luca Regli has developed his research interests driven by clinical questions in the domains of cerebral ischemia, cerebral metabolism, cerebral homeostasis, and edema, as well as in cutting-edge surgical techniques for cerebral revascularization and intraoperative imaging. His clinical expertise is reflected in the daily management of patients with cerebrovascular lesions as well as brain tumors.
