Akila E. Jayasinghe (Member, IEEE) received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He is pursuing a Ph.D. with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia, and the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, focusing on the fault diagnosis and control of Li-ion batteries in EVs. He is a Lecturer with the Department of Engineering Technology, Faculty of Technology, University of Jaffna and is currently on study leave to pursue his Ph.D. degree. His research interests include power system analysis, electric vehicles, renewable energy integration, and smart grid technologies.
