Dr. Alexandra Contreras-Jodar holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and has undertaken two MScs: Research in Animal Science and Bioinformatics. She holds an International PhD in Animal Production from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Currently, she is a researcher in animal welfare at IRTA. Her main line of research consists of poultry and rabbit welfare on farms, during transport, and at the time of killing.
