Md. Khurshid Alam Bhuiyan is a marine ecologist and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cádiz, Spain, under the Institute of Marine Research (INMAR). He is currently working on the Next Generation EU-funded FOCUS project, investigating trophic interactions in estuarine food webs and the ecological impacts of invasive species like the Atlantic blue crab. Dr. Bhuiyan completed his Ph.D. in Marine and Coastal Management (MACOMA), supported by the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Fellowship, focusing on the effects of ocean acidification and climate stressors on marine invertebrates. With over a decade of research experience, Dr. Bhuiyan has led projects across Spain, Portugal, Malaysia, and Bangladesh, specializing in biodiversity conservation, climate change impacts, and sustainable aquaculture practices.
