Augustyn Lorenc graduated with a master’s degree in Operation and Management of Transport with distinction in 2011 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Cracow University of Technology and started PhD studies in 2012 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. He graduated with postgraduate studies as Manager of Research and Development at the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin. In 2016, he was adjudged a PhD degree in transport discipline. Augustyn Lorenc started to work in the Institute of Rail Vehicles at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Cracow University of Technology in 2011. In 2012, he ran his own IT company in the Academic Business Incubator. In 2016, he started work for SKK S.A. as an R&D Engineer. In 2013, he received an Assistant Certificate of Quality Management System Certificate from PCBC. In 2014, he became a Certified SIMP Appraiser specializing in industrial logistics and marketing and management in the industry. He has published over 80 scientific papers and one book. He cooperates with universities in the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Lithuania, Turkey, and Ukraine.
