Prof. Sanford H Barsky, MD, is
Executive Director of the Clinical and Translational Research Center of
Excellence and Professor and Chair of Pathology, Anatomy, and Cell Biology at
Meharry Medical College. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School
of Medicine and completed his clinical training in Pathology and Laboratory
Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital. He is a fellow of
the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the recipient of
numerous scientific honors and awards for his research on cancer invasion and
metastasis, with a special emphasis on inflammatory breast cancer, a disease
affecting primarily disadvantaged minorities.
