Dr. Guoqiang Fu is an associate professor in the Department of Electromechanical Measuring and Controlling, School of Mechanical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, China. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Chongqing University in 2011 and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Zhejiang University in 2016. Then, in July
2016, he joined Southwest Jiaotong University as an associate professor. From October 2017 to October 2018, he was a visiting scholar in the S.M. Wu Manufacturing Research Center, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan. He has been awarded the third prize of the Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award. His research interests mainly include precision enhancement of multi-axis machine tools and precision machining, including thermal error modeling and correction, cutting error control based on signal processing and intelligent control, and CNC tool path generation and optimization.
