Prof. Dr. Zhouhang Li graduated from the Department of Energy and Power Engineering of Tsinghua University and is now a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering of KUST. He is mainly engaged in research related to traditional and renewable energy, industrial waste heat utilization in supercritical fluid and multi-phase flow energy mass transfer mechanisms and technology. He hosted several national key R&D programs and national natural science foundation projects in China, independently and cooperatively published two monographs, and was invited four times to give keynote speeches at domestic and international conferences such as the Academic Conference on Heat and Mass Transfer of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics and the International Conference on Power Engineering, and served as the chairman of the branch three times. He is also a member of the Youth Work Committee of Chinese Society of Power Engineering, a China Nonferrous Metals Think Tank expert, and a Yunnan Science and Technology Talent Pool expert. He has won the Young Talent of "High-level Talents Introduction Program" in Yunnan Province, the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award at Tsinghua University, and the Outstanding Thesis Award in the Youth Academic Annual Meeting of Chinese Society of Power Engineering.
Prof. Dr. Hua Wang is a Professor II and postdoctoral
fellow of Kyoto University, and serves as the president of KUST. He is the
director of the State Key Laboratory of Clean Utilization in Complex
Non-ferrous Metal Resources jointly built by the Ministry and the Province. He
is also the director of the National and Local Joint Engineering Research
Center of Metallurgical and Chemical Energy Conservation and Environmental
Protection Technology, as well as the director of the Engineering Research
Center of the Ministry of Education of Metallurgical Energy Conservation and
Emission Reduction. Additionally, he is the director of the China Nonferrous
Metals Society and the director of Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction
Professional Committee. He has been devoted to the theory and engineering
research of thermal process strengthening, energy saving, and carbon reduction
in metallurgical furnaces and kilns. In 2014 and 2017, he was selected as one
of the leading talents in science and technology in Yunnan Province and one of
the leading talents in science and technology among the national high-level
talent special support programs. In 2011, he was awarded the special allowance
of the State Council; then, in 2014, he was named the national
outstanding scientific and technological worker. He received the certificate of
merit in the second national innovation competition in 2020.
