Dr. Wen Hua is an assistant researcher and currently working at the College of Architecture and Environment, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanics, along with a master’s degree and doctorate in solid mechanics, and he is a full-time postdoctoral fellow at the College of Architecture and Environment of Sichuan University. He is a member of the Chinese Mechanics Society and a secretary member of the Solid Mechanics Professional Committee of the Sichuan Mechanics Society. He is mainly engaged in research on fracture mechanics, damage mechanics, and rock multi-field coupling. In recent years, he has chaired and participated in many projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Plan Applied Basic Research Project, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Open Fund of the Ministry of Education’s Key Laboratory of Deep Earth Science and Engineering. He has published more than 20 academic papers in Int. J. Rock Mech. Min. Sci., Eng. Fract. Mech., Fatigue Fract. Eng. Mater. Struct., Int. J. Appl. Mech., Energies, Processes, Mater. Res. Innov., Geomechanics, and other journals.
Dr. Shiming Dong is a professor and doctoral supervisor and currently working at the Department of Mechanics, School of Architecture and Environment, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. He is a member of the Basic Mechanics Course Teaching Guidance Subcommittee of the Ministry of Education and an executive director of the Council of the Sichuan Mechanics Society. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Science and Technology of China and visited and researched at the University of Toronto in Canada. He is currently mainly engaged in scientific research in the fields of fracture mechanics, rock mechanics, impact dynamics, computational mechanics, and oil drilling engineering. He is responsible for teaching subjects such as engineering mechanics and elastic mechanics. He has presided over and participated in key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-topics of national science and technology projects, national major scientific research instrument and equipment development projects, key projects of Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Plan Applied Basic Research, China Postdoctoral Science Fund projects, and several provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological projects. He has published more than 80 papers in core journals at home and abroad and one academic monograph.
