Andrea Palazzo is an architect and researcher specializing in the restoration of historical buildings and innovative construction technologies. He earned his Master’s degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, where he was mentored by Professors Riccardo Canella and Giancarlo Perotta. After graduating, he began his career collaborating closely with his mentor, Prof. Arch. Perotta, on various architectural projects, gaining invaluable experience. In 2005, Palazzo relocated to Prague, marking the beginning of a successful 20-year career in the Czech Republic. Over this period, he has completed more than 200 projects, ranging from private to commercial ventures. In 2008, he became the 40th foreign architect officially registered with the Czech Chamber of Architects and subsequently founded his own studio. His work is particularly focused on revitalizing historic buildings, skillfully blending original features with modern solutions to preserve their unique architectural identity. Currently, Palazzo is actively working as an architect and consultant while pursuing a Ph.D. at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU Prague, with a research focus on 3D-printed housing technologies. He also teaches construction technology and management at VOŠUP and CTU Prague, sharing his extensive knowledge with the next generation of engineers and designers. His career is a testament to his dedication to merging tradition with innovation in architecture.
