Dr. Xingwen Bai is the Associate Researcher at the Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Host Antiviral Infection and Immunobiology Innovation Team. He was the Assistant Researcher at the Gene and Molecular Identification Group, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, from 2009 to 2016. He received his Ph.D./Master’s in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2012/2005. At present, he focuses on the effector mechanism of autophagy-related proteins involved in the uncoating of foot-and-mouth disease virus and the functional role of non-structural proteins in the coronavirus life cycle. He pays attention to the molecular basis of the antagonism of host innate immunity by Seneca virus, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus, parvovirus, porcine circovirus, etc., as well as the survey of alternative antigenic regions of foot-and-mouth disease virus and the creation of African swine fever virus-like nanoparticle vaccines.
