Sungmin Yoon is an Associate Professor at the Department of Global Smart City, Sungkyunkwan University. He graduated from Sungkyunkwan University and received his B.S. and M.S. in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Then, he worked at Digital Space Laboratory, Virtual Builders Co., as a Senior Researcher (2011–2015). In 2018, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduation, he was an Assistant Professor at Incheon National University (2018–2022). His research interests include building science, digitalization and energy, in situ virtual sensing, information fusion in buildings, and self-evolving building systems.
