Prof. Heng Cui is a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Collaborative Innovation Center of Steel Technology, University of Science and Technology, Beijing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in iron and steel metallurgy and a master’s degree in nonferrous metal metallurgy from Kunming University of Science and Technology, and a doctorate in iron and steel metallurgy from the University of Science and Technology, Beijing. He was a visiting scholar at the Chair of Ferrous Metallurgy, Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria. His research interests include steelmaking and continuous casting technologies for high-quality steel, simulation of metallurgical processes, and control of non-metallic inclusions. He has undertaken more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation and school-enterprise cooperation projects. He has published more than 140 academic papers, including more than 70 papers included in SCI and EI. He has obtained 12 national invention patents and written three books.
