Dr William Hicks is the Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Air Aware Labs, a start-up dedicated to reducing personal air pollution exposure through modelling and behavioural change. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London, where his research focused on real-world traffic non-exhaust emissions. Dr Hicks also carried out a postdoc at Imperial investigating indoor air pollution. His professional journey includes extensive work on urban air quality, non-exhaust vehicle emissions, and personalised exposure metrics, with several high-impact publications.
