Liliana Carnevale, DVM, PhD
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Milan (Italy) in 1995, with a thesis on elbow dysplasia in dogs. In 1995, she began a PhD program at the same University in orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and diagnostic imaging for small animals. during this period, she performed 820 surgeries as the primary surgeon. In 2000 she completed the PhD programm. Following this she began working at the San Siro Veterinary Clinic in Milan as an orthopedic and neurosurgeon and served as the head of surgery for 18 years. From 2010 to the present, she has worked at Dr Lotti's Neurology and MRI Clinic for Small Animals in Turin as a neurosurgeon. Since 2014, she has been working to the University of Milan as an orthopedic and traumatologic surgeon for small animals, ruminants, small equids and wildlife. From 2014 to the present, she as been a Contract professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the School of Specialisation in Small Animal Pathology and Clinical Sciences at the University of Milan. Her area of interest includes osteosynthesis in small animals, ruminants, small equids and wildlife. TPLO (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) for cranial cruciate ligament rupture in small animals. Arthroscopy in small animals and ruminants. Vanessa Rabbogliatti, DVM, PhD. graduated in veterinary medicine in 2014 at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. She then achieved, at the same university, her PhD in 2019 in Veterinary and Animal Science with the thesis " From recumbency to standing: improving diagnostic imaging quality trough the evolution of equine anaesthetic protocols”. She is currently working as part of the anaesthesia team of the veterinary teaching hospital at the Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy. Her main field of interest are equine anaesthesia, standing sedation and pain management
Roberto Bona, DVM1989 Graduated in Veterinary Medicine, University of Turin, Italy. Thesis: "Navicular Disease: Therapy and Experimental Shoeing". Freelance Equine Veterinarian since April 1991 - Focus on orthopedic diagnostics and sports medicine. Trained with Prof. JM Denoix in France. 2005: FEI Veterinary Endurance certification (3-star level) after attending Lausanne course. 2017: Certified Veterinary Expert in Animal-Assisted Interventions (IAA) by the Ministry of Health. Since 1992: Veterinary Commission Member for national and international endurance competitions. Conducted numerous lectures on Veterinary and Farriery Units for the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation. Speaker at various endurance horse training seminars. Francesca Cavallier DVM, MRCVS. Graduated in veterinary medicine in the 2018 at the University of Milan, Italy. In the 2020 became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon and she spent 3 years in the UK at the Pool House Equine Clinic. She completed a 24-months Equine Veterinary Internship and then became a ‘junior clinician’ in the same equine practice.During this period she developed a strong interest in lameness investigation and surgeries. In April 2021 Francesca came back in Italy and since then she is working like a freelance equine veterinarian. In the 2022 she optained the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice at the University of Liverpool. Since 2023 she is collaborating with the equine medicine and surgeries department of the university of Milan, Italy. Actually she is also a student in the veterinary specialization school of Equine medicine and surgery.
