Prof. Dr. Colin Hopper is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, UCL, London, UK. He earned a Ph.D. in medicine at the University of London in 2005. He is a world-leading expert on photodynamic therapy (PDT) for cancers of the head and neck. He is the Founding Member/Officer of the Head and Neck Optical Diagnostic Society and European Platform for Photodynamic Therapy. He was elected President of the International Photodynamic Association for a two-year term in 2023. His fields of research include dentistry, oncology and carcinogenesis, clinical sciences, and biomedical engineering.
