Dr. Mazen J. Al-Kheetan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Mutah University in Jordan. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from Brunel University London, UK, in 2019, after earning his Master's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Nottingham, UK, in 2015 and his BEng degree in Civil Engineering from Mutah University, Jordan, in 2011. In addition to his academic role, he has been serving as an Assistant Dean of Quality Assurance since October 2023. From September 2020 to September 2021, he was the Head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Mutah University. Prior to joining Mutah University, he worked as a Research Assistant at Brunel University, London, from March 2016 to May 2019. He also has industry experience working as a Project Engineer at Habash-Deir Contracting Company from 2011 to 2014, where he contributed to the Abdali Mall Project and Queen Alia International Airport Project in Amman.

Dr. Yu Wang is a reader/associate professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Salford in Manchester, UK. He undertook his PhD at Aston University in the UK, following which he conducted several years of research at the University of Bristol, Imperial College London and the University of Plymouth before being appointed to a Research Council UK Academic Fellowship in 2007 at the University of Salford. He has wide interests and has conducted productive research on broad subjects and areas in civil and environmental engineering, covering hydrology, geo-environment, soil contamination characterization, sustainable green concrete, advanced composites, and durability of reinforced concrete structures. He has made novel contributions to the fundamental science of the hydro-physical constitutive characteristics of unsaturated porous materials, the modeling methodology and techniques for infiltration processes in porous media, and the fluid–structure interactions at the pore scale and bulk material scale.
