Susana Quirós-Alpera earned, from the Universidad de Valladolid (UVa), a BS
in Physical Sciences (1996) and a PhD in Acoustics and Vibrations (2003), awarded
a Marie Skłodowska-Curie scholarship at the Technical University of Denmark
(DTU) where she developed a simulation model of sound propagation outdoors based on
the boundary element method (BEM), and which serves to validate the
Scandinavian sound propagation model Nord2000. She is now Contracted Lecturer of
the Engineering School at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) and Assistant
Professor of the Didactics of Experimental Sciences at the Education Faculty at UVa.
She coordinates BS on Industrial Organization Engineering at the European Digital
University (UNIPRO). Her work in higher education has resulted in dozens of
publications, presentations, lectures, and courses. She is a member of the Spanish
Association of Professors and Researchers in Teaching Experimental Sciences
(APICE). She is also a scientific researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine
Research in Bremen (Germany), analyzing and collecting samples in Antarctica (2000),
and a Senior Technician in NVH at the private automobile company Renault Spain (2004).
She was awarded the ESIC Best Research in Digital Transformation in Higher Education (2021).
Her research interests include sustainability in higher education.
Aloysius OSB Roets has extensively contributed to the academic discourse on
sustainability and education through his university engagements. He has
presented research at prestigious international conferences, including
the XXXI Congreso Internacional EBEN and the VIII International CEO
Congress, exploring innovative approaches to teaching sustainability,
such as video games and comparative educational strategies between
developing and developed countries. His academic publications, featured
in indexed journals like the Journal of the Sociology and Theory of Religion and the South Africa Journal of Business Management, focus on topics such as green transitions, sustainable tourism, and
ethical human resource practices. As a researcher, he has actively
participated in CIIDES and OmniaScience initiatives, furthering
discussions on sustainability, moral values, and educational innovation.
Rafael Robina Ramirez holds a PhD in Business and Sociology (2002) and is an Associate Professor at the University of Extremadura (Spain). Rafael Robina teaches Management in the Business and Sociology Department. With a prolific academic career, he has authored 50 international papers and 10 books on business and environmental ethics, as well as sustainable educational and human development in the tourism sector, published in leading journals such as Elsevier, Wiley, MDPI, and IEEE Access. He has participated in over 100 international and national conferences and 50 seminars across the US, UK, Mexico, Portugal, and South Africa. As coordinator of the “DELSOS” research group. He leads projects on behavior change in tourism and business ethics, including the European “Ecodry” project (2014–2017). Since 2014, he has also spearheaded the “GEEYM” Innovation Project, which uses real judicial cases to teach business ethics in tourism programs.
