Prof. Dr. Roberto Berni Canani is a full professor at the Department of Translational Medical Science, University of Naples Federico II. He graduated cum laude in Medicine and Surgery in 1989 at the University of Naples Federico II. From 1991 to 1994, he pursued a PhD in Pediatric Sciences on the pathophysiology of pediatric intestinal diseases at the University of Naples Federico II. In 1995, he obtained a specialization in Pediatrics cum laude at the University of Naples Federico II. Prof. Roberto Berni Canani is internationally recognized as one of the leading researchers in the area of pediatric gastroenterology, food allergy, and nutrition. He is a member of the Italian Society of Pediatrics, the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN), the Italian Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (SIGENP), the Italian Society of Pediatric Infectious Disease (SITIP), the Italian Society of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology (SIAIP), the Italian Society of Pediatric Research (SIRP), the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Preventive and Social Pediatrics (SIPPS).
