Dr. Borut Mavrič is a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Biology, Marine Biology Station (NIB). He undertook his University studies in Biology at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana from 1998 to 2005 and Postgraduate studies in Conservation of Natural Heritage at the University of Ljubljana from 2005 to 2011. He has published over 85 papers in various journals. His areas of interest include marine biology and ecology, sea crabs, cartilage, coastal fish communities, benthic habitat types, benthic invertebrates, and alien species.
Prof. Dr. Lovrenc Lipej is a Scientific Counsellor at the Marine Biology Station, National Institute of Biology of Slovenia. He completed his BSc studies in Biotechnical at the University of Ljubljana in 1988, MSc studies in Natural History at the University of Zagreb in 1992, and PhD studies in Biotechnical at the University of Ljubljana in 1996. His teaching disciplines include marine ecology and selected topics in marine zoology, and his areas of interest include marine biology and ecology, coastal fish assemblages and benthic habitat types, shark & ray research, and non-indigenous species.
