Author Biographies

MOHAMMAD ALI SABERI received his Bachelor of Engineering in computer software(2010) and Master of IT Engineering - IT systems (2014) from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in information science and technology at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC), Canada, since 2020. He joined the Department of Informatics and Mathematics at UQAC. In a ubiquitous computing project, he was involved in heterogeneous information systems, particularly data modeling, data architecture, access control, distributed file systems, and data governance in healthcare data interoperability. Elsevier, IEEE, and MDPI have published his research papers, including works on ABAC, decentralized data architecture, and break-glass mechanisms in healthcare information systems. His research interests include data architecture and data modeling, DAO, Data Interoperability, Machine learning, and Artificial intelligence.
Hamid Mcheick received his Ph.D. in software engineering and distributed systems from the University of Montreal, Canada. He is a Full Professor at the Computer Science Department, University of Québec at Chicoutimi, Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in both academic and industrial areas. He is working on designing and adapting distributed and smart software applications. He has supervised many postdoctoral, Ph.D., master’s, and bachelor’s students. He has nine book chapters, more than 50 research papers in international journals, and more than 130 research papers in international/national conferences and workshop proceedings in his credit. He has given many keynote speeches and tutorials in his research area, particularly in healthcare systems, pervasive and ubiquitous computing, distributed middleware architectures, software connectors, service-oriented computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile edge computing, fog computing, and cloud computing. He has obtained many grants from governments, industries, and academics. He is the Editor-in-Chief, the chair, the co-chair, a reviewer, and a member of many organisations (such as ACM, Springer, and Elsevier) worldwide.
Mehdi Adda received two M.Sc. degrees in computer science from Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France, in 2002 and the Université du Havre, Le Havre, France, in 2003; an engineering degree in computer science from the Université des Sciences et Technologies Houari Boumediene, Algiers, Algeria, in 2001; and two Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Université de Montréal, Montreal, QC, Canada, and the Université de Lille, Lille, France, in 2008. He has been a professor of computer science at the Université du Québec à Rimouski, Rimouski, QC, Canada, since June 2010, after he became an invited professor from August 2008 to May 2010. He has been working on multidisciplinary projects centred around data science and artificial intelligence, IoT, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality at the service of immersive distance learning.
