Olga Valentim received her Doctorate in Nursing from the
Catholic University of Portugal in 2015. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in
Nursing and Specialist in Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing (Higher School
of Nursing Francisco Gentil, 1999), Master’s in Cognitive and Behavioural
Therapies (Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, 2003), and
Specialist Title in Nursing (2013). She is a Coordinating Professor at the
Lisbon Higher School of Nursing. Previously, she was a Coordinating Professor
at the Ribeiro Sanches School of Health, IPLUSO from 2021 to 2022 and a Guest
Adjunct Professor at the Higher School of Health of the Polytechnic Institute
of Leiria (50%) from 2018 to 2022. She served as an Adjunct Professor at
ESSATLA from 2007 to 2020. She collaborated as a Guest Lecturer at the Catholic
University in the Professional Master’s Degree in Nursing from 2008 to 2019.
Since 2017, she has been a PhD Researcher at the Health Technologies and
Services Research Centre-CINTESIS. Within the NursID research team—Innovation
and Development in Nursing—she has also been an integrated member of the
research team the Health Research Network—RISE. Additionally, she is an
investigator at the Center for Research, Innovation, and Development in Nursing
in Lisbon (CIDNUR). She is the President of the Board of IntSNA Portugal for
the 2022–2025 term (Portuguese Association of Addiction Behaviour Nurses).
