Renato Spigler is a retired Full Professor of Numerical Analysis at Roma Tre University in Rome, Italy. He is also an Extraordinary Professor at the International Telematic University Uninettuno and associated with INAF, the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics. He graduated from the University of Padova in Electronic Engineering and subsequently visited the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, and the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, NY, for several years. His research interests, primarily focused on Applied Mathematics and applied analysis, encompass a broad range of topics, including ordinary and partial differential equations, stochastic differential equations, asymptotic and numerical methods, random phenomena, synchronization systems, and plasma physics. In 2024, he was awarded the international “Gili and Agostinelli Prize” for Pure or Applied Mechanics or Classical Mathematical Physics, granted by the Turin Academy of Sciences.
