Dr. Qinke Yang currently serves as a professor at the College of Urban and Environmental Science at Northwest University. He has worked at the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Ministry of Water Resources (CAS ISWC), visited CSIRO Land and Water, USDA National Soil Erosion Research Laboratory, and still collaborates with CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric. His main research and teaching areas are regional soil erosion assessment, terrain factors for soil erosion modeling, and principles of Geographic Information Sciences.
