Nompumelelo P Mkhwanazi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry and B.Sc. with honors in Biochemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (PMB). She then finished her Master’s in Medical Science and Ph.D. in Virology at University of KwaZulu-Natal (Nelson Mandela School of Medicine). Nompumelelo P Mkhwanazi is now a Lecturer and faculty member at the HIV Pathogenesis Program, University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research interest includes Antiviral activity testing of bioactive and synthetic compounds; HIV pathogenesis, cure and vaccines.
